The refurbished Albert Hall needed one signage system to work across historic architecture and new construction. It had to respect the original fabric, support intuitive movement through a busy public venue, and meet current Australian accessibility requirements—including braille and disability signage—without feeling added on.

Integrated, Not Added On
Standard fixing methods were unsuitable in parts of the heritage building. ARCOM developed alternative approaches that protected the original structure while integrating wayfinding, braille, disability and illuminated signage across old and new spaces.

ARCOM coordinated closely with electricians, landscapers and maintenance contractors already working on site. The result supports intuitive visitor movement and includes clear handover documentation for digital signage management.
Delivered With Control
With earlier project delays making timing critical, the programme was mapped backwards from completion. Design approvals, manufacturing, contractor coordination and installation were managed to schedule, with refined production methods improving efficiency without compromising quality.
