01. The challenge
Refresh 11+ Sites Without Replacing Every Sign
Across more than 11 Tasmanian locations, Reece Group’s ageing signage had deteriorated over time. Some elements had become structurally unsafe; others no longer met the network’s presentation standards. Replacing everything was neither necessary nor cost-effective, but every store had different sign types, conditions and repair requirements.
More than 11 locations with different asset conditions and priorities.
More than 20 sign types per store, with multiple site-specific variations.
Safety, presentation, lifespan and budget all needed to be balanced.

02. The solution
Audit Every Asset. Prioritise What Matters.
Start With a Complete Network Audit
ARCOM visited every Tasmanian site, documenting condition, measurements, photography, safety risks and maintenance needs. Each recommendation identified what required replacement, what could be refurbished, structural issues, upgrade priorities and expected lifespan improvements. A staged programme was then aligned to operational priorities and budget—not unnecessary wholesale replacement.
Prototype Before Rollout
Curved architectural forms and custom feature elements translated the design concepts into practical, buildable signage.
Structured Site Systems
Custom fixing methods were developed to securely install feature branding across natural rock and irregular surfaces.
Long-Term Protection
Sign locations, scale and installation details were carefully resolved so navigation improved without disrupting the vineyard landscape.
03. The outcome
From Reactive Repairs to a Managed Signage Asset Programme
Safer Network
Unsafe signage elements identified and removed across the network.
Longer Asset Life
Targeted refurbishment and practical upgrades extended signage lifespan without unnecessary full replacement.
Presentation Restored
With more than 20 sign types per store and many variations, ARCOM created structured production and installation systems. A local prototype site established the approved standard before rollout, improving presentation and consistency across remaining locations.
Future Costs Reduced
Anti-graffiti laminate was recommended in vandalism-prone areas and later allowed graffiti to be removed without costly sign replacement. Wrapped vinyl edges and improved finishing methods also reduced future deterioration and maintenance.
One Coordinated Programme
Centralised communication and staged priorities created predictable project costs with minimal variations. Reece gained greater operational confidence while refreshing and stabilising the network within budget.
