Some elements had become structurally unsafe, while others no longer met the presentation standard expected across the network. The challenge was to create a practical long-term strategy that improved safety and consistency without replacing every sign.

02. Audit, Refurbishment and Delivery

Network-Wide Site Audit
Arcom visited each Tasmanian location to document sign condition, measurements, photography, safety and maintenance requirements.
Repair or Replace
Recommendations separated refurbishment from replacement, identifying priorities and where existing signage could be retained and renewed.
Prototype and Approval
A prototype site established the upgrade standard for client approval before the broader programme progressed.
Longer-Life Finishes
Anti-graffiti laminates, wrapped vinyl edges and improved detailing were used where appropriate to reduce deterioration and future maintenance.
